Summer is here

Wow, more than a month has went by since we moved here and we have stayed busy.  There is so much to do and I wanted to be sure we fill our summer with fun.  So I started to research the local activities and through that I discovered many moms making a summer bucket list. So naturally that is what I did and we are going to try and fit it all in.  I would like to say I will blog about them all but lets face-it, we all know that won't happen.  So just hold tight until at least a month goes by and then I will overwhelm you with the pictures and details.  So here goes the overwhelmingness of the month--

Enjoying the Memorial Day Parade.

The kids loved waving the flags they were given.

Mari and I waiting for the parade to start.  She had her purse ready for all the candy.

My handsome boys excited to see the fire trucks.

They loved getting all the candy and were very quick to be sure no one around them could take theirs.

We had a few days with a lot of rain, so we went to the Children's Museum in Grand Rapids.  What a fun day we had.  So much to do and see!  We can't wait to go back.

Those are bees making honey.

 Building with magnetic shapes.

 Excavation Station.

This was my favorite area.  Bubbles!  The kids are standing in a huge bubble.

This was Owen's favorite part, getting to drive a car.

And Mari's favorite were the shopping carts.  She got to fill her cart and check out just like mom.  She thought it was pretty cool.  She could have stayed there the whole time.

We have had some good beach days too.

 Daddy building a tunnel.

Finally they got to ride the seadoo.  You have to pry Owen off, even after he falls asleep.  That boy loves driving his machines.

A family bike ride to the pier.

The kids and I went on a nature hike the other day.  We didnt get to far, but it was fun and they enjoyed it.  No crying, I call that a success.

They even brought their cameras to take some pictures.  There was to much dirt to play in to bother taking pictures.

We painted and planted our own flower pots which then turned into...

 Painting ourselves.

Thankfully we had the pool to wash off.

This is my favorite pic so far.  Greg is playing softball and after the game the kids went to run the bases, but instead the dirt again called their names and they couldn't resist.

And with all that has been going on this is what we look like at the end of the day.  EXHAUSTED!!
Loving time with my babies!  Mari starts preschool in the fall and it is making me realize I won't have them all to myself much longer.  I try not to think about that!
Hope you are all enjoying your summer as well!!
