Bucket list, visits, and always cute pictures

Before you start I just want to let you know there are lots of pictures so I tried to make them small and put them beside each other.  However it didn't always work, so some of the captions are underlined and all out of whack, I don't know why.  Otherwise enjoy!!

We live in a gorgeous area and have the privilege to live right on the lake.  So we take in many sunsets and nice evenings watching all the boats.

I love this of my two precious angels.(only a little sarcasm)

We love spending lots of time in the water.  Mom likes the pool because there is less sand to clean up.

THE PECKS VISIT...

We enjoyed our time with our cousins and Aunt Sarah and Uncle Cory.
We swam a lot, played even more, got to paddle board, and do some boating.  And as always eat!!

Another check off the list was boating all day and tubing.  This is not the pictures of the tubing (I just realized I'm not sure where those pictures are, but we did it.)

We have been outside non-stop even in the heat.  Either golfing, playing baseball, riding bikes, or driving Owen's 4 wheeler (which he calls his jet ski).
Both kids have done a few summer camps at the YMCA.  Here is a dark but cute picture of Owen so excited to go to camp.  He loved it.  They also got real golf clubs to practice with their daddy.  Now to take it to the course.

The town had a family fun day during the week long festival.  We got to ride horses, play games, and do bouncy houses.  By far the horses were the favorite.  Owen told them all how he was a cowboy!

Another check for the summer list...FISHING!  I don't know how many times Mari has asked to fish, so we went up to Grandpa Nienhouse's cabin and fished in the river.  There wasn't much but between Daddy, Grandpa, and Uncle Brian both kids got to real in their 1st fish and possibly their last fish of the summer.  They had such a great time but were not so sure about the fish after it was out of the water.

Splash Pad - Check.  This is new this summer and a big hit in town.  However, my kids enjoyed laying out a bit more and people watching.  I wonder where they learned that. Whoops!

Riding our bikes on the bike path was another fun activity.  It was so hot and they did a great job till about 5 minutes from the car.  Melt downs.

My kids are so funny.  This is Mari's new hair style choice lately and Owen is "figuring out" (fixing) his jet ski.

Mimi and Pa visit...
We stayed busy while they were here playing, swimming, and eating ice cream  The 1st thing Mari said she wanted to do with Mimi and Pa was go to the candy store and we wasted no time.  We made it there the 1st day they were here.  The boys went on a deep water fishing charter and caught some fresh salmon.  We had a great time and can't wait for August.

Getting to sit on Pa's cycle.  They were in heaven.

We are having a great summer and are gearing up for fall.  Both kids will be doing preschool 2 days a week and that will be an adjustment for us all.  It starts at 8:15am  Wow I think we can do it.  Thanks for reading my insanely long posts, but I'm glad you can all see how we are doing in our new home.  Love to you all!
